10th SHOBUKAN CUP 9/11/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
This is our annual karate tournament for all levels of experience. Location: Mayborn Convention Center, 3303 North 3rd Street, Temple, Texas. More information to follow
USANKF - REGIONAL TEXAS Qualifier - HOUSTON 4/17/04 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
We participated in the Texas USANKF Regional Qualifier in April 2004 in order to attend the NATIONALS in NEW ORLEANS. We took 23 students and won 22 medals. Only 2 students did not win a medal at this tournament. Great Job!
USANKF - NATIONALS 18 JULY 04 7/18/04 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
It was a great event, we took 9 students to the Nationals and returned with 10 medals. Our students that participated range from 6 years old to 18. We got 2 National Champions in Kumite, 1 National champion in Kata, 1 National Champion in Iaido and and the rest in second and third places.

5th SHOBUKAN CUP - 20 Aug 05 8/20/05 (10:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
5th Shobukan Cup - International Friendship Karate Tournament on 20 August 2005. Tournament events are Kata, Kumite, Team Kata. There will be a SEMINAR on 19 August 2005 for all styles. The seminar will consist of KUMITE and KATA. Following the Seminar we will have a banquet and Traditional Japanese Dancing.
KATA - KUMITE SEMINAR 18 02 2006 2/18/06 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Kata and Kumite Seminar conducted by Kohama Sensei from Shobukan Hombu dojo in Japan. This Seminar is open to all Karate students. The seminar location is in Houston Texas at the University of Houston. Please contact 254-368-2311 or 713-412-5062 for more information. Seminar will start sharp at 10:00am to 12:00pm. Then restart at 1:00pm to 3:pm. There will be a Goodwill Kata Tournament. Medals and Japanese Certificates will be issued to the winners and participants.

6th SHOBUKAN CUP - Friendship Intern'l Tournament - 26 Aug 06 8/26/06 (11:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Events will include: KATA, KUMITE and WEAPONS. Also: TEAM KATA and TEAM KUMITE. The winner of TEAM KUMITE gets the SHOBUKAN CUP. An additional cup will be presented to the winners of FEMALE TEAM KATA winner. Mark your calendars and don't miss this tournament that continues to grow every year!

USANKF Texas Qualifier for the NATIONALS 5/19/07 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Congratulations to all the students and parents that participated in the Texas Qualifier in Plano, Texas. Now we are on our way to the Nationals. Fifteen students participated and returned with 21 medals, 7 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze.

7th Shobukan Cup - 10th Anniversary Cup 8/25/07 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
10th year anniversary celebration. This event will offer a USANKF Referee Seminar and Certification a Karate Tournament. Please visit www.isska.com and download a copy of the tournament registration. EVENTS: KATA, KUMITE, TEAM KUMITE and KARATE DEMO.
A banquet will follow after the Seminar on Friday.

The Shotokan Karate Dojo is proud to announce that after competing at the Regionals in Plano Texas 24 students qualified to attend the Nationals in Houston, Texas. Thirty medals were won on 31 May 2008 and 7 State Texas Champions were awarded to our dojo.

We are going to Japan to participate in the ALL SHOBUKAN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP-JAPAN. This trip is coordinated by Shobukan dojo in the USA. Anyone interested in going please contact us. During this trip we also plan to attend the World Karate Federation Championships.
